May 14^th - May 18^th

Hello parents, and welcome to  4 1/2 day of school...!  Here are the general reminders for this week:  Art club is meeting Monday after school;  the NJHS induction ceremony is Monday after school at 4 PM; Tuesday is a scheduled hot lunch day - pizza; Wednesday evening is the GGS spring open house, from 6-7 PM; and Friday is an early dismissal day due to a teachers' in-service....students will be dismissed from school at 10:35. 

**NJHS, including all newly inducted members, will meet Wednesday at noon in my room. 
**Due to Friday's early dismissal, we will be running an alternate schedule in which the students will meet with all of their core classes for ~30 minutes.  They will not have PE or specials on this day.

-Tuesday, May 22^nd - 8th Grade science final exam

-Friday, June 1^st - 8th Grade Great America trip

-Monday, June 4^th - 8th Grade Dance

-Tuesday, June 5^th - 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

8th Grade Science - On Monday, we will be wrapping up the vertebrate unit by completing the rat dissection.  The rest of the week will be spent reviewing for the final exam, which is scheduled for next Tuesday.  Students should really make an effort to have the study guide completed before we go over it in class. 

7th Grade Science -  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we will be in the laptop lab, in order for students to finish their invertebrate projects...which are officially due on Friday of this week.  On Thursday, we will complete the last dissection, the crayfish.  Friday will be spent organizing ourselves, making sure all of the required project parts are turned in from all the groups.
